Arris tg862a password from serial

Hello, this project is to generate the valid password for a cable modem TG862A based on its serial (last 5 digits) There are only a couple of hints most of them are in [login to view URL] Valid Example: SERIAL: W00TSEC00013337 PASS: 0D51A2FF31 There was a comment on it on how to generate it but is not very specific: the comment was to mhash (hash method unknow) and then just a bit shift.. The goal is to figure out the algorithm used to generate the password. obviously the algorith should regenerate the password from the serial given in the example.
