I like to have a web part written in c# to display MOSS user profile in tree view format. The demo of such a view is something like you see at: <[url removed, login to view]> in the left frame. This demo is written in asp but gives you the idea of how the tree should look like. The inputs for the web part are defined in the tool pane. One input is the user name of the first person to navigate. The other input is the URL of the site that you want to retrieve the user profile. The application should supports 1000s of employee records. I don't want to retrieve all user profiles in advance and cache it. I have the code to do the same but it gets data from data.xml. This is working pefectly but the problem in the current application is it caches all data in advance. I can give you the sourec code of the curernt application and the idea is using the same application to support both user profile as well as data.xml. I want to retrieve data as the user clicks on each employee or Node. I like to use UserProfile object and not web servies. You need to tell me the logic of how you are going to do it before I accept the bid. I don't mind to split the work to prototyping and then expansion so when you write the bid you need to tell me if the bid is for prototyping for what functionality.
