Need minor javascript/css fix

I have site running joomla. At the middle of the page is Search module with drop down options. I want to hide one of the option.
Not that I already tried few techniques such option[value=1] {display:none} and similar and that doesn't work.
Please bid if you sure that you can success. Few minutes for freelancer who knows what is the problem.
