During lunch Michael took his bag of jellybean sandwiches that his mother had specially prepared for his birthday and went to sit down with his friends. On the way, he saw a little girl from a different class called Mary sitting in a corner crying. “What’s wrong?” Michael asked, walking up to her. “I lost my lunch money.” Mary said, sniffing. “My mom gave me five dollars, and now I can’t find it. I’ve looked everywhere for it.” Michael was a kind boy. Even though he really liked the jellybean sandwiches his mother made for him, he took out his bag and offered her one. “Here, you can have half my lunch.” Mary’s tears stopped, and she looked up at him with a smile. They sat together eating jelly sandwiches, and Michael told her about the Ben Ten wristwatch he had wanted for his birthday. He also invited her to his birthday party, and Mary promised to come.
