Research Topic is: "Automated rule generation using Soft Computing"
The proposal has not yet been ready, but we are working to develop a generic frame work of soft computing, using methodologies, "fuzzy Logic", "Neural Network" and "Genetic Algorithm". We want to develop such a generic frame work to which we can use on applied side e.g. Data mining, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Wireless sensor network. The utility of the different soft computing methodologies is highlighted. Generally fuzzy sets are suitable for handling the issues related to understandability of patterns; incomplete/noisy data, mixed media information and human interaction, and can provide approximate solutions faster. Neural networks are nonparametric, robust, and exhibit good learning and generalization capabilities in data-rich environments. Genetic algorithms provide efficient search algorithms to select a model, from mixed media data, based on some preference criterion/objective function. Rough sets are suitable for handling different types of uncertainty in data. Actually in both these research our research is based on automatic rule generation using different techniques.
