very simple and straight forward. you collect 6 main elements from financial statements, and put that data into an excel table template provided (*attached) all figures should be nominal (no reported in thousands or millions) just nominal figures. (assets, liabilities, equity, net profit, number of outstanding shares*, EPS) only 3 year of data is required: (Q1 - 2015), (Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4 - 2014), (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 - 2013) and (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 - 2012). what is a bit weird here might be the process which goes like this : *always use most recent data set in the most recent dated file i.e. : if you open a file Q1 2015 you will find a comparison column next to it for Q1 2014, all information mentioned there it should be taken as the correct and ignore the financial statement that was produced in Q1 2014. so always use the 1 year forward financial statement to get information on previous year (usually they correct mistakes .. etc etc). the only element which should force you to go and look at the older files is : "number of outstanding shares used to calculate the EPS" - you actually need to keep track of this figure as it changes throughout the statements mentioned. all statements can be found here : http://www.qe.com.qa/pps/qe/qe+english+portal/Pages/Listed+Companies/Financial+Statements? - just FYI, one of our team members already has did this work - your work will be used to audit his work and vise versa, I expect no mistakes.
