Hello, I can help you split data in column CK as described in a reasonably short time. I have noticed in the Example file, however, that some cells contain more than 4,000 characters. Hi: Here's my understanding. You can want to create two duplicate rows for the entries where CK column is marked yellow. In the created rows, you want to split the content logically such that the first row has 2000 characters and the second row has the rest of the content. Please confirm. Hi, I have a university degree in economics and IT, and several decades of system design and programming, in the recent decade especially in Excel and VBA. I can start working on the project immediately and complete the job within an hour. I plan to complete the project via writing an Excel macro contained in a separate XLSM file. This approach makes further use of the macro very convenient by offering a Control sheet containing cells populated by the usual Open file and/or select folder dialogs to identify the current input and output files (or the folders containing them, as required by the job) and hosting command buttons and other controls if necessary. In my approach you'll have opportunity to consult details with me, to test pilot solutions if necessary in order to achieve an optimal final solution. I will copy the column that needs to be corrected into a new sheet and use the LEFT and MID functions to specify the number of characters (2000) to extract from the cell. Then I can manually copy the affected rows and paste back in the appropriate codes which were extracted. Please let me know if you would like to discuss the project further.
