For the last couple of years, I have been working in the settlements section of a major trading bank. In this role I have had to settle and balance the day's trading accounts over a variety of financial instruments, including government bonds and share market trades. All ledgers must be balanced by the end of the each day, which requires attention to detail under the pressure of tight deadlines. I work unsupervised but within a team environment.
