Traffic Light Controller

Traffic lights of three intersections need to be controlled in synchronism using Allen-Bradley Series 5 PLC. Traffic lights in each of these intersections required to produce synchronizing signal for the next intersection and receive synchronizing signal from the previous intersection. These synchronizing signals allow these lights to function in synchronism. Each intersection has two sets of lights, North/South and East/West lights. These lights are required to be controlled according to the timing described below: • One set lights controls traffic in a north/south direction, the other controls traffic in an east/west direction. • The north lights have an advanced green that flashes at one-second intervals for ten seconds. It then changes to solid green for 20 seconds, yellow for five seconds, and red for 25 seconds. The south lights have no advanced green, so the south light is red for 35 seconds. • The east/west traffic lights have no advanced green. The green is ON for 20 seconds, yellow for five seconds and red for 35 seconds. Please check the attachment.
