My project is to create a mathematical model to explain the appearance of horizontal growth after the removal of skin from the vertical axis of the abdomen during a tummy tuck. If you were to imagine the body as a cylinder and remove a half-moon shaped portion of the abdomen, then when you connect the incision lines, there would be skin pushed to the lateral hips (or as I like to describe it, when you take from the horizontal, you add to the vertical).
I am looking for an engineer to model this concept on a diagram of the abdomen similar to that I have attached in the supporting documents, ignoring the markings that have already been made in the illustration.
