Hello, I run a similar project right now and I know exactly what to do. This is the reason that my offer is low. In a new spreadsheet of a macro- enabled excel file I will write the path where your files are stored. The second line will have a file name. These details can be changed any time by the user. finally I will make a button which on click event will run a vba code. The code will read every line from the comma delimited file and then will find the string you want to find. If the string meets some certain criterias then will be saved in an excel file. Both comma delimited file and the new excel file will have the same name and will be stored in the same directory. this way you will know from which files you extracted information.
