Create basic formulas in Excel Worksheet

I have a very basic table showing a list of students listed by username along the left column with the courses they took online in columns to the right along with basic info like start date, end date, certification expire date. Usually the username in column A appears 3 time in a row (as they took three training programs, each listed in a row to teh right of the username). But sometimes the student only took one program so the username is listed only once. I have been trying to use the Vlookup function along with various count an match functions to lookup the 2nd, 3rd instance of that username and show the data from those rows listed vertically, off to the right of the student name.
