I need someone to take a test within 45 minutes regarding critical reading and writing skills that is highly intelligent. It consists of a passage (I'd estimate 700-800 words), followed by six multiple choice questions about the passage. Then, an essay prompt about the passage. Essentially, did you agree with the author or not? Why or why not? You'll need to provide examples. They are a variety of passages one could encounter when taking this. The answer choices given for the multiple choice because are somewhat simple. I would actually be surprised if the test taker missed any of those. You have 60 minutes to take the test, but the essay should take the bulk of the hour (nearly 45 minutes of it). Given the constraints, the ending should be overwhelming, and offer examples from real life (which the prompt encourages). But the response should illustrate a fundamental understanding of the passage and an ability to think critically about it. I'm looking for someone who is extremely intelligent and has a background of reading and writing professionally, used to flexing their brain in the ways being tested. If the idea of reading someone's opinion then arguing for it, against it or taking a more nuanced position stuns you out, if you haven't, maybe try reading some op-ed articles, then articulating your takes on them. That might give you the right mindset going in.
