Author Wanted | Want to teach Accounting or Finance? Write a mini-Book!

15-hours of Work Required. Write a mini-Book that teaches small business people or investors about your favourite accounting or finance related skill. About Us: * accofina publishes accounting & finance books and other accounting & finance educational content for adults who are skilled in their own field but have no formal financial training. * The goal is to turn academic accounting & finance knowledge into digestible skills that people can use in their business or investment activities. * Check out [login to view URL] for more information. What You are Required To Do: * You must spend 15-hours Writing the most complete and compelling mini-Book that you can come up with. * The topic of the book can be of your choice but it MUST have the following attributes: 1) The book must teach accounting or finance skill(s) to small business people or investors who have no financial training (similar to 'Dummies' books) 2) The topic or skills(s) taught must be those based on academic knowledge (i.e. it must be based on university teaching and not, for example, skills you've learned from the internet or other less formal training) 3) The tone of the writing must be: a] Friendly and conversational b] Turn complex academic knowledge into easy-to-understand skills for the financially untrained. c] NOT read like a thesis. It should be easy to read. 4) The book MUST also be skills-focussed. That is, it should not read like a piece of long-winded academic prose. It should be clear and concise and teach specific skills that could be replicated in the real world by the book's reader. If you can meet these requirements then you have open slather to write on any accounting and finance topic that would teach useful skills to small business people and investors. Key Skills Needed by You: * Have an accounting or finance related degree from university * Ideally have experience, or at least be excited, by teaching and the field of adult education. * Ideally have written a book before. But don't be put off applying if this is your first time, even I didn't know how much I enjoyed writing until I tried it. * You MUST be able to manage time and thought processes well: You have 15-hours to: 1) Plan the structure and content of a mini-Book 2) Write the book 3) Tidy the content up at the end AND the Result must be a complete mini-Book that could be sold almost as is to to the public. * You must have complete fluency in English. English skills strong enough to perform high-quality English writing that could be the basis of a sellable product. What is Hoped to Be Achieved with This Project: * This small (15-hour) project is going to be a test for future more in-depth (and longer) writing projects * Ideally I would like to have, at the end of the project, a high-quality mini-Book that I could sell under the accofina brand on Amazon and other book retailers. * Ideally I would have built a good relationship with a new freelancer who would want to work with me again on future projects. Final Notes: * I wish I didn't have to say this, but all work must be 100% original. All work will be put through plagiarism tests and disputes will be lodged if these tests find that the submitted work isn't original, is plagiarised or infringes copyright. * The copyright of all final work will be owned by accofina's holding company, Bidi Capital Pty Ltd. There is no point undergoing this project if I can't sell or do what I want with this mini-Book because the freelancer/writer wants to retain any copyright.
