Ape/monkey logotype/mascot design

Ok, so our company's name is apegroup. And now we want an ape or monkey design to use as our mascot. The design should be delivered as an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or .eps vector image.

Attached are some images to illustrate the feel we're looking for.
We'd like the design to be delivered in at least two iterations. First a concept stage where we can have input and then a production stage.
