Design a Website Mockup

Hi, I'm looking to redesign the site of my apartment rental business ([login to view URL]), I only need a mockup of the first page (landing page) of the site. So you just need to design the landing page and depending on how well it turns out I may ask you to further refine the design or to design the interior pages as well. All the extra work (ie. designing additional pages) would merit you additional pay; all I need for this posting is just one awesome landing page. I have uploaded a very rough outline of how I see the site. The very top portion would be the company logo followed by introductory text and then 2 sort of billboard areas where I can put further information on the apartments and discounts. I'd like for this top portion to be very vibrant, perhaps even "cartoony". It would be cool if you could do a city scape with people and cars and buildings in the background. I think this would be appropriate since the point of the business is to rent out apartments in the city. Below the top portion would be the nav bar. (Yes this is a bit unconventional but I'd like something a bit different.) Please note that the nav bar should be the same width as the top content. (The nav bar overextends in the layout that I did.) Below the nav bar would be a 3x3 list of all our rooms following the same basic format. Picture of the room and then alongside it is basic text about the room and then a big book button underneath the text. Below the picture and the text of the room would be a calendar showing the availability of that particular room. Your design can use place holders for the text and pictures but the background and nav bar should be complete as well as any other design features you suggest. Basically if I see your layout, all I would need to do is plug in the photos, logo and text on my end then it would be good to go. If you think my proposed layout sucks, feel free to suggest your own and I will consider it as well. When suggesting an entirely new design, please keep in mind this is for an apartment rental business but I don't mind being a bit adventurous with the layout or format. All information though must be clearly displayed, keep in mind ease of booking and the user must be able to see the availability of each room. That's it, looking forward to your designs.
