About half this traffic comes from desktops and the other half from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Unfortunately, the current website is an old design which does not display well on a small screen. This it needs to be updated to be a modern responsive website which displays nicely on mobile screens as well as desktops and is easy to navigate. Whatbird also needs an update to improve its SEO. Competition. There are a few sites that you may want to review to get some ideas for our field guide design and to understand how others have handles similar content issues. These are Cornell’s All About Birds and the Audubon Bird Guide. Find there field guide sections. The [login to view URL] website consists of three areas and so this job has been divided into 3 phases to make the work more manageable. This job is specifically for Phase 1 but we present all 3 phases so you know the scope of the entire project. The 3 areas and phases of work are: 1. The home page, where people learn what the whatbird site offers and navigate to its various features, such as its bird search engine, bird browser and bird expert (wizard). 2. The search engine page. Here is where customers can use the patented Percevia smart search to identify a bird or just type in a bird’s common name to isolate it. 3. The species pages. These are 1,000 species pages where visitors can discover great details about a bird, including photos, illustrations, range maps, bird songs and much more. The information for these pages are stored in a SQL database and the pages display this content. This job is broken down into 3 phases. Again only bid on (I.) Phase 1 of this proposal.
