Please note that by definition nginx *cannot* and does not read htaccess rules; so we will need to change the server nginx configuration directly. You will need to provide me with a user that can do this (likely the server's root user). In addition, I will set nginx up so that it supports something like htaccess files - that is, a file named .nginx that has nginx rules; so you won't need to change the server configuration directly. I repeat, nginx does not support htaccess, but I will: -- configure nginx so that it reads a .nginx config file in the site's folder, -- convert the .htaccess to nginx-compatible rules and put them into this .nginx file, -- test everything.
