With over 125 Crore people and 60 crore people under the age of 35, India has the largest of number of young people in the world. By 2022, there will be more than 20 crore young people out of work. This is the largest youth unemployment crisis the world has ever seen. Right now, these young people are children in school who are not yet learning market-relevant skills they need to secure or create jobs (once they complete education). 49% of girls drop out of school by Grade 10.
We think the most powerful, beautiful dream we could ever dare to see is to create can change the way millions of children learn.
Why Skills Matters
In present age we find a lot of problems, but fail to find solution. The reason for this is that we are not able to recognize the root of problem. If you see a problem, you can create a solution for it. The trick is - can you see the problem? Most of the time problems are so large and interconnected that young people find it hard to figure out where to begin and should they begin? The world is unfair, education is not relevant to getting a job, there are no jobs and the weather is getting hotter and hotter. Even if there were jobs, young people don't have the skills they need to succeed. School is the final frontier. If we can teach kids skills to help them get a job or create a job at school, together, we'll be changing the world. We teach children enterprise, employability and entrepreneurial skills at school.
