To create PDF in Java - preferably use pdfBox library:

For csv, you can use OpenCSV etc.

Only bid on this, if you have done this kind of work before and have some examples.

If you are very confident about your work then provide some sample.

We already have a similar work done by some one else that uses iText library.

Now we like to use pdfBox. The original code is old and some issues.

So we like to make some improvements by using pdfBox from Apache

Read and write - from / to pdf / mysql / csv / Excel / xsl / xslx formats.

Let us know what you can do....

Creating of PDF form with accro fields from mysql is a must.

A java web application will be using this as a JAR / library.

We like it to be flexible and re-usable.

For example:

Use java interfaces, config files, mapping files etc etc.

I will provide some example pdf Templates i.e. example pdf documents that need to be

filled in with the data.

Data Source(s) & Data Destination(s):

Instead of hard coding, we like to use mapping files (java properties & csv files) for this purpose.

Use config files to define system / user preferences.

API calls will get preference on config file(s).

Here are some examples of parameters of config files:

e.g. to merge pdf documents or keep separate or both or to zip or where to store / save.

( Save these in database or on the file system), ...names of one or more data source(s) and destination(s),

page size, error handling, date format, prefix or suffix, decimal spaces for numbers, leading zero,

split or merge a column per criteria, encryption / decryption etc etc, path to the image file(s), or extra

text etc.

API call can also send a config object as a method argument.

How To Test:

Following options:

1. You will provide example java class with main method to test the compiled version of this code.

2. Example java web application that uses this as a JAR.

To compile the source code: Either ANT or Maven. Let us know which one.

This is apart from IDE e.g. Eclipse or NetBeans.
