3.2. Functional Requirements: 3.2.1 Student/Staff level System: 3.2.1.1 R.SLS.001: The system shall allow the user to create an account which all the valid details will be stored in the database. Rationale: This system shall allow the users to create, delete and maintain the account in a much secured way. 3.2.1.2 R.SLS.002: The system shall allow the user to access the application only after the entered user name and password are verified and correct. Rationale: The system shall verify the username and password and only if the credentials are valid then it allows the user to use the application. 3.2.1.3 R.SLS.003: The system shall allow the user to reset the password if it’s forgot. Rationale: The system will have a feature to reset the password if incase the user forget his/her valid password. 3.2.1.4 R.SLS.004: The system shall allow the user to submit a request for a class room or seminar hall based on the date and time. Rationale: The system shall allow the user to make a request based on the available rooms, date, time and other requirements like capacity of the class and number of boards available in the room. 3.2.1.5 R.SLS.005: The system shall allow user to see the different types of rooms and its details like room capacity and equipment’s and number of boards available. Rationale: The user can specify or particularly select the room which all the details of the rooms will be shown online and then make the request to the admin. 3.2.1.6 R.SLS.006: The system shall allow user to view the available number of rooms based on the color. Rationale: The application shows the room details and the availability in different colors along with the class room details. This would be an added feature and make the student or staff work easy to select a room. 3.2.1.7 R.SLS.007: The system shall allow user to submit the room request and write additional comments for requesting any additional equipment’s or software’s required. Rationale: The user can make additional comments in the description box about his additional equipment’s or software which he wants to be installed and submit the request to the admin. 3.2.1.8 R.SLS.008: The system shall allow user to view the booking history and notifications of room confirmations. Rationale: The user will be allowed to view the booking history and the notifications of the messages sent by the admin about the confirmation or technical issues. 3.2.1.9 R.SLS.009: The system shall allow user to make changes or delete the pre-booked room by submitting a request to the admin and will receive confirmations regarding it. Rationale: The user will have a facility of making changes in the booking by resubmitting a request form to the admin and on which they can work out accordingly. 3.2.1.10 R.SLS.010: The system shall allow user to view the upcoming events and tech fest of the particular department or university. Rationale: The user shall be able to view all kinds of the events information which are coming up in the department or university and plan accordingly if interested. 3.2.1.11 R.SLS.011: The system shall allow user to view the ongoing discussions and allow them to participate in the discussion. Rationale: The user can participate in the discussions going on in the discussion board which is not just related to the academic but external too. 3.2.1.12 R.SLS.012: The system shall allow user to view the notifications which are occurred to that particular user. Rationale: The user shall be receiving notifications in his account regarding the bookings.
