Optimize the location of tower cranes with studing the movement of them without conflict. [ I need to use agent based simulation]. ( Programs such as Anylogic, Mason, & Repast). The project (case study) is about 3 tower cranes in a construction site which contains 5 buildings, but the first building only is divided into 2 zones and furthermore second zone is divided into two parts. There are intersection zones between any two tower cranes and also between three of them. The 5 Buildings are: Building 1 Zone 1 (B1Z1) of area 2057 m2 consists of 3 floors: basement floor, ground floor and first floor. Building 1 Zone 2 part 1 (B1Z21) of area 963 m2 consists of 2 floors: ground floor, and first floor. Building 1 Zone 2 part 2 (B1Z22) of area 1050 m2 consists of 2 floors: ground floor, and first floor. Building 2 (B2) of area 453 m2 consists of 3floors: basement floor, ground floor and first floor. Building 3 (B3) of area 1473 m2 consists of 1 floor: basement floor. Building 4 (B4) of area 1797 m2 consists of 2 floors: ground floor, and first floor. Building 5 (B5) of area 412 m2 consists of 2 floors: ground floor, and first floor. There is supply zone which has the material of formwork and reinforcement steel bars. The material will be carried by tower cranes from supply to different buildings and interaction zones. Note: There will be scenarios as we consider 1 supply only and simulate, another consider 2 supplies and simulate and another consider 3 supplies and simulate. Tower cranes will change its location untill get the optimum scenario of minimum time and cost of project. Movement of the material to the different buildings and zones are as follows: Any activity in B3 (Building 3), B4 (Building 4) & B5 (Building 5), we will use Tc1 only. The motion starts from the supply zone to B3 or B4 or B5 and then the crane leaves the material then return back to supply for another cycle. Any activity in B1Z1, we will use tower crane 1 & 2. The motion starts by crane 1 picking up the material from the supply zone to the interaction zone of crane 1 and crane 2 after which tower crane 2 goes to get material from interaction zone to and delivers it to B1Z1. The cycle then continues. Any activity in B1Z21, we will use tower cranes 1&2as above, i.e. the motion starts by crane 1 picking up the material from the supply zone to the interaction zone of crane 1 and crane 2 after which tower crane 2 goes to get material from interaction zone to and delivers it to B1Z21. Any activity in B1Z22 and B2, we will use Tower crane 1 and 3. The motion starts by Tc1 from supply to intersection zone and leaves the material then return back to supply after that Tc3 goes to get material from intersection zone to B1Z22 or B2. Legend: B1Z1: Building1 Zone1, B1Z21: Building1 Zone2 Part1, B1Z22: Building1 Zone2 part2 B2: Building2, B3: Building3, B4: Building4, B5: Building5. Constrains: Boundaries of the site. Caravans of engineers and labours are far from tower cranes working area. Distance between any two cranes are bigger than jib length of longer jib.
