Writing indicators from price actions are not so common, usually people look for calculations over the prices, nevertheless, pure price action has proven to deliver better results than traditional calculated indicators. I am an IT engineer and I work exclusively with MT4/5 projects. In your specific case, you also require some arrows here and there, that is no problem. MT4 allows indicators to calculate values for an additional series or to just draw objects in the chart.
