We have a company MS Access database. It includes a contact database of all the companies we do business with.
We need a new module that lets us generate emails to different divisions within those companies: accounting, shipping, contracts. So there should be new tables that track the divisions within the company, and the desired To: Cc: and Bcc: email addresses for that division in that company. It should also include which email addresses from our company to Cc: and Bcc: for each division and who the contact person's name(s) should be (e.g. Dear Mark or Dear Mark/Diana).
This should include a code function that we could use everywhere in the db for generating emails based on the current record.
We also have a feature that generates PDF reports and saves them in our file system.
We need a new function that can look up the PDF that was generated and attach it to the email that gets generated by the program.
For example, when we click "Make contract" it already creates the contract and saves the PDF file. It then launches a new email with the appropriate subject and text, but the To: and CC: are blank and the greeting is Dear XXXX. We want the new function to add the appropriate addresses (To: CC: BCC:) in this case for the Contracts Dept for the customer, address the appropriate person's name (Dear Kimberly) and attach the PDF that was just created.
So, we need a function that we can copy and paste into new sections and new code, with that kind of flexibility, and we want it implemented specifically in the existing Contracts module as a concrete implementation.
