Project Overview Business type : Waste Management Number of Trucks : 25 Application Platform : Android Application User : Truck Driver System Status : Online Project Summary We have around 25 trucks on the field for waste management. Each truck goes to a project site and collects wastes. The truck driver fills a form and gets it signed by the client. Later the driver passes this form to their account department and then invoices will be raised to the customer. This system is handled manually and we would like to automate the process. Now we are looking for an application that runs on Android devices; which the drivers will use in filling the questioner and get the customers signature & pictures. This information will be send back to the Backend server using 3G or wifi. Objective An application that will be running on the Service side as well as on the Tablet or smart phone. Each of these applications will be used for different activities and will be completely online. Some of the advantage of having this system is as following: 1. Saved time by reduce the paper works involved. 2. Jobs can be assigned to the Truck without the Drivers coming to the HO. 3. Invoices can be raised to a customer immediately after a Job is completed. Approach There will be two parts to this application. One is the Tablet application and the other is the Server application. • Server Application: This will be developed using PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JQuery with MySQL database in backend. The application can be hosted on any Cloud Server. • Smart phone or tablet Application: This will be developed using PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JQuery with database support for SQLite. System will support both Online and Offline mode.   Modules 1. Masters o Project Master o Location Master o Truck Master o Driver Master 2. Job Assignment o Dispatcher at the office will assign a job (picking from a site) to a truck. Dispatcher selects the project name, location and selects the truck. This will immediately trigger a message and alert the truck driver on the field on his mobile device 3. Operation o Truck driver opens the message and he moves to the customer site. Customer site has a barcode which will be scanned and system allows the driver to enter the details as given in the attached PDF o After he fills the form, customer signs on the designated area on the screen and signature will be captured. o Upon SAVE, these details will be send to backend system at HO. There it will be converted to PDF and send to the particular client email. o Device must capture driver movement in every predefined time interval & save it in driver history log and send it to backend system. The operator shall be able to see the salesman movement on a Google map real time . 4. Other options o System must have an option to export these captured form to Excel o An option to print out the form at the backend.
