Android GSW Gateway app

We are thinking about developing an Android GSW Gateway app which is able to access the audio stream of the GSM engine. Following is a link to an article I recently found explaining some of the difficulty of accessing this audio stream: [login to view URL]
My only thought to get around this issue is to maybe use Bluetooth to access the audio stream, which is done easily with Bluetooth hardware using the Handsfree or Headset Bluetooth Profiles. You will notice at the bottom of the page linked to someone has commented how they have accessed the audio stream by using two Android phones and the Bluetooth profile. This will work but a better solution is to maybe emulate BT within the same Android phone, within the same Android app. I don't know if you could access the audio stream from within BT without actually communicating over its radio. If there was an easy way of accessing the audio stream before it gets sent out over the radio then maybe this could work.
