Chat Online to Change MySpace Look

I tried to revamp my default MySpace layout from its default look, to one of the new layouts here: [login to view URL] . But I am not getting 100% the look seen on any of the layouts in that url above. Due to confidentiality, though, I need to be guided online what to click on, what to select, where to paste the codes to, to fulfil this task of changing default MySpace look to a more interesting one. So, I need to be taught "Live" on Skype or Gmail chat or Gtalk what to do, as someone teaches me how to add. Strangely, I have tried to add the codes from any of these layouts to the "About Me" section in MySpace, or even to CSS section, yet I don't see the new look, as shown by such layouts from [login to view URL], on my profile. Is there any step I left out, I am puzzled?
