I need to create a functionality for a Metatrader 4 that will log all trades taken by an EA in an external database. This functionality will be given to another programmer who will eventually integrate these functions and merge them with the EA, you do not need to have access to the EA's source codes, I just need a dummy EA that will log the trades the way I want and upload them to an online database application where I will be able to filter them by several parameters. I would like to know your opinion on how you would log the trades in an external database, I believe there are several options to do that. I do have 1 Linux dedicated server but my question is: ** How would the trades and snapshots of the trades be uploaded to an external database? I prefer a PHP/AJAX application which is more standard, this application could be installed on my Linux server and the EA would send all data to the database, upload images, filter results, etc ** I want to have access to that database and winners/losses from anywhere in the world or any computer, so I believe the best option would be to create an PHP application that would collect all information sent by the EA functionalities created FIND ATTACHED A FULL DOCUMENT WITH THE FEATURES. First, Isn't it possible to make it on windows server and not linux. because I haven't linux server and little hard to test the result. It's the best to do on linux. like using xampp, i can create database and can make php code to post the log into your database. If you also agree with windows systems, then there is no problem in doing your project. I have lots of experience in this field. And i am not sure you want more features after the log is written to database? as you said, you want to available to share the logs... if the target is only saving log into database, then i have no problem in current price. but if you want more features after that, then we can discuss price again. waiting your reply. thanks.

Hey panoramia, I have worked with you before, and hope that we can work together on this project. The reason my bid is so high has to do with my understanding. From what I understood after reading the specification sheet attachment, is that this will be a project to not only log the trades in a database, but also includes a backend application to view details about the trades logged into the database. The biggest part of this project is the backend application, without a doubt. For the backend application, are you looking for an actual desktop application, or a web application? I would be very suspicious of bids lower than $500, if they are make sure they have a good understanding that you are expecting a backend application as well. I hope you get into contact with me, I would like to start a long term partnership for many projects you have like this. use java script to comunicate between EA and Database. 1. EA -> mybridge -> JS -> DB (EA send order report, JS validate if not duplicate report then save to DB) 2. DB -> JS -> mybridge -> EA (if only EA need to know hystorical order, actually EA can call orderstotal() and orderselect() with filter orderclosetime()) DB -> JS/PHP -> web (to display order) --- but in step 1. and 2. i am prefer using desktop application, i can use delphi or pascall as bridge EA -> advanced bridge -> DB (EA send order report, mybridge check if not duplicate report then save to DB) DB -> JS/PHP -> web (to display order) i am, miftahulmunir001 (a) gmail dot com

Hi Thanks for posting this interesting project. I'm new on freelancer website and i can understund that my "0 review" not play in my favor,. But i will try to prove that i can answer to your need. The project you porpose is in perfect agreement with my passion for data handling. I think that the work can be devided in three parts : 1- EA MQL function to integrate in EA(s) source code. - Called afeter and OrderSend call for example, this function will log trade informations and execution context information ( EA name... ) buy addding a line in log file. 2- A Perl PHP or Shell script that get Generated Log File and load it into the external database (this database already existst or have to be designed ? MySql ? ) 3- A "sexy'" web application that display the content of the external database (need dashboards ?) I try now to answer to your question :) ** How would the trades and snapshots of the trades be uploaded to an external database? Two options : 1- RECOMANDED EA code just generate the trade log file and that's all The script (part 2 of my schema) get file from metadata machine and load into the external database. 2- from EA code source ( not recomanded) use the sendFTP MQL4 function (should use the metadata Dashboard publisher server) Thanks for reading my proposal and hope it get your attention.
