We previously employed a coder to adjust the search facility on our website so that when a user typed in a query accents would be ignored. E.g. - if a user searched for cafe then items containing café would also be included. The code for this works fine and can be seen in action at [[login to view URL]][1]. However the coder did leave us with a serious bug in the search engine which we are not confident that we can correct by ourselves.
Now the search will ignore accents as we requested but if a search returns more than a first page full of answers, i.e. the answers are spread over 2 or more pages, then the user cannot navigate past the first page. An error is returned stating that there are no results.
We are fairly certain that this is a very small and quick job for someone who knows what they are doing.
