In essence what we are doing is this:
1. converting static html pages into a relational Access 2000 or 2002 database
2. I have started the database, but need a RAC coder to finish it [or redo the database as you see fit]
3. The main navigation scheme is web menu structure [login to view URL], which will correlate to access table technical_docs
4. These fields in table technical docs must remain:
a. ID date_added title pdf
b. You can add delete as you see fit [I added doc_type and machine_type, you can adjust these and or add or delete as you see fit]
5. All the spreadsheets [including pdf and title and date links as well] have to be imported into the new database, to make things easy we have coded the categories in the excel ss to match web menu structure [login to view URL]
6. If there is no date associated with the record just make it todays date [in North American format]
This is a relatively easy project, and I don’t think it will be too difficult a task for a RAC programmer. Just make sure the tables are relational so its easy to change and or add data at a later time
