currently the user of a Firebird database can: 1. keep the source code of stored procedures in readable form in RDB$[login to view URL]$PROCEDURE_SOURCE 2. delete the same source code, as with UPDATE RDB$PROCEDURES SET RDB$PROCEDURE_SOURCE = NULL WHERE RDB$SYSTEM_FLAG = 0 and RDB$PROCEDURE_NAME='NEWN_FAT' We would like a 3th solution: we would like to keep the source code in crypted form, probably in a table other than RDB$PROCEDURES. We would like to modify some sql client avaiable in source, like IB_SQL (part of IBObjects), so that when a password is given, the crypted source code becomes readable and editable. An altered procedure should be automatically crypted. (When the password is provided) metadata is printed in clear exactly it is now.
