Hello,
This is a relatively small and straightforward Help Desk/Trouble Ticketing application written in ASP. It involves a SQL Server 2000 back-end, an Access 2000 db for the login security piece and the asp files. I have been asked to add features and make changes to the application, one of which I have already done (single file upload to multiple file upload). However, I have been requested to make a fundamental change to the way the application works (adding departmental subgroups and adjusting the e-mail notifications accordingly and giving users the option to see their requests only (like a "my requests" link) when they login), which "may" require a redesign of the database and some additional ui coding. I am looking for someone who can mentor me through this process as a learning tool for me to use for future changes as well. Preferably, I would also like to upsize this app to run on ASP.NET which would be a good learning experience for me as well. I have the 1.1 framework and everything else needed to develop for this as well. If it will be quicker and easier (and cheaper) to stay in classic ASP then I'll do that. There is no rush on this, but would like to get it going in a week or two.
Thanks.
