Component to read a cobol file

A simple file in a propriety database format stores data needed by varied custom programs. This Microfocus COBOL ISM file must be opened and read and a simple array of its contents returned. The file layout rarely changes, but fields may be added in the future. Changing this should be possible by fairly simple re-coding of the application. Deciphering the exact format of the file will be required. There are about half a dozen fields and usually no more than 10 records per file. (understand they are all text fields) No updates to the data file are required, simply read-only access. Bid will be assessed on the following criteria * The fewest dependencies in both run-time and deployed situation * most flexibility as to what programming environments the tool can be used Attached is a copy of both the ISM (data) and IDX (index) of the file. Indexed reading is not required. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Windows
