I am hoping to build a Slot Machine which spins and shows in each window a subphrase

May I / pay for this / later

Can I /get some rest/ on the weekend

Shall I /be late for/ at home

Where do you / talk to him/ when you are ready

What do you want to / talk about / when you are ready

If the three together work, the player gets points but if not they lose points.

The problem is : how to check if the series of 3 subphrases is ok?

There are there 2 ways to check the correctness:

a) NLP: use a Natural Language Parser , analyse each sentence and determine whether the units work together

b) Database Match: compare the sentences outputted by the Slot Machine against a large database of sentences which have been collected from somewhere else. If the Slotmachine output matches a pre existing series of words, it is correct.

b) would limit the permutations and exclude sequences which could be grammatical.

BUT, just because a sentence is possible does not mean it is useful so b) might be better.

1) I have a database of sentences

2) the sentences must be divided into subphrases which themselves work as a unit eg what-do-you is a unit

I have a selection of units in subphrase database collected by

Slot 1 What do you; why don't we; are you going to

Slot2 have a drink; go to bed; take a shower

Slot3 yesterday, at midnight, when you are free

I would need to match the two databases
