Convert a Template to a Website

Client has a Wordpress site here: [login to view URL] It is a modified theme : The theme is Sportsedge from [login to view URL] The original programmer / designer actually exported the article database and the theme from the Wordpress site. He set up a duplicate Wordpress site on his own server on which he made modifications that we asked him to make. The ones he made looked good. He just did not make them all. The original programmer did not complete the work. In response we asked him to export his modified theme. He did that. We have his zipped files. Our hope was that we would be able to upload the original programmer's modified theme and that it would render with the modifications that he finished. Then we could just do the few modifications he did not finish. The current Wordpress theme on which we are working should have all the articles (400 or so with accompanying photos) still in it. If, in the process of importing original programmer's modified theme, the articles get wiped out - that is not a problem. It is the theme and the modifications to the theme that are the most important. LET ME REPEAT: It is the theme and the modifications to the theme that are the most important. If the articles get wiped out we will copy and paste articles from the current ORA site so that the Wordpress site can be built out enough to present. BUT, in order to avoid having to do that extra work I would suggest that the article database from the current Wordpress site be backed up BEFORE the import of JK's modified theme takes place. So we need the database from the original site that was copied and zipped connected to the new site so THAT THE THEME MODIFICATIONS ARE MADE and hopefully the articles are saved. THERE IS NO FTP ACCESS - ONLY VPN ACCESS We can get you this VPN access and access to the zipped files from the original contractor, along with the Wordpress logins. AGAIN - the main goal is to preserve the Wordpress theme modifications and apply them to the new site location. If we can save the articles to the site - great. But if not then we will take care of that on our end. We want the them modifications most of all. WE NEED TO HAVE THIS DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
