WordPress Website Tweak.

Project is a website based on WordPress. Current website is using an old theme from more than 5 years and we're migrating it to a new theme. New website is working but some of the functionalities from the old site are not working at the new site.

Old website have the following functionalities:

AUTHORS PAGE:

It's a index of all the people who writes in this page sort from A to Z where each letter has their own tab. This is handled by a plugin called "Category Icon" also uses Customs fields plugin plus a some custom coding. All Authors also are handled by categories. There is a category name: Columnists and under this category you have all the "authors". When we publish a post I choose several categories, plus the Author before publishing the article. The system assign the "author" photo and display it with their personal information.

EMAIL by Authors.

Every time I publish a post, and this post is assigned to an "author" = Columnists, the system send an email with a message to the "author".

THIS IS THE MESSAGE:

Subject: Message here

Body:

Your blog post: Post Title has been published:

[login to view URL]

The functionalities mentioned above are not working at the new site.

NEW REQUIREMENTS:

1. ARCHIVE PAGE SIDEBAR.

We need to have the option to switch or to change the sidebar for the ARCHIVE PAGES. I have installed Custom Sidebar Plugin but looks like this plug in doesn't have this capabilities. We need to have the ability to create an option to show certain contents at the sidebar. Example. At the detail page of a certain post by author Baltazar Porras, we want to show to visitors at the sidebar of the Baltazar's post other recent post by this author or person. We need to create a widget for this because have to be user friendly. In other words, when people goes to Baltazar's archive page, the administrator have to be able to assign a sidebar to this archive page and add widgets to this archive page.

At the old page we were handling this by using the single post template, but I'm pretty positive we can use custom sidebars plugin for this or something better.

2. Logo, fonts, and standard CSS adjustments.

3. All the labels are showing info in English but we have installed WP in Spanish, we need help to tweak this.

4. Helping moving the new site from sandbox to live (both are in the same server and under same account)

5. We're getting an error when installing plugins

6. At old website have 3 different categories which are displaying the info in a different layout, so we need help to adjust the layout.
