I have two different scripts that need to be evaluated NOTE: Before you place your bid, please be assured that these are legitimate products for a legitimate email distribution provider. We have been called upon to distribute large opt-in business lists -- and prefer the flexibility of a server based utility such as this one. ZIPS will be provided to you of each application. SCRIPT # 1 - CGI-based relay mailer This script connects to SMTP relay servers and sends mail... There are some nice features we have added (such as; it notifies the user when the mailing is complete via email, it pulls from random subjects, it allows the user to set batch sizes, and it allows the user to control the # of retries if a relay is reported as "failed") -- Problem is -- it is way too slow -- (about 10,000/ per hour) --- I need someone to take a look at see if they can add features to make the current version much faster. SCRIPT # 2 - CGI-based SOCKS Proxy mailer. Works with many of the same features as the relay mailer (noted above) -- only this mailer connects through a SOCKS proxy first -- and then connects to SMTP relay servers. The application also allows the user to harvest SOCKS proxies. Application comes with a SOCKS library (which you need to install on your server) -- but I will provide everything you need (including the ZIP and [url removed, login to view] file from the original developer.) Script is handling about 25,000/ per hour on a RaQ3 - 128mb server -- I need to get faster speeds in order to sell the product effectively. IMPORTANT A. Scripts need to be setup to run on my dedicated RaQ3 350mhz - 128mb RAM server. (you will need to install and allow me to test final version on my server) - -- This is EXTREMELY important -- I need the application to be built for optimum performance on this type of server environment (because my users purchase dedicated servers just like this one to run it on) -- I need to understand optimum settings for my server and what the new output per hour is. (Basically I will be looking for you to advise as to the optimum settings on the web interface) -- Please dont take this job unless you know for sure you can make it faster! B. I will need a ZIP file of the completed applications along with a [url removed, login to view] file which will outline the installation process and the optimum settings (on a RaQ3 - 128mb) server. --after I have tested the beta)
