Create an excel sheet for ''yellow pages listings''

We are collecting a large number of business categories and need a great way of setting this up in an excel document so it will be easy to add, delete and modify categories and their unique category ID would be updated automatically. This document would hold all the "main"information about the categories, such as category id, category name, sub category position, category description, category meta tags, category image and possibly other elements (help and suggestions appreciated to get this list as complete and thorough as possible)
We would need to have formulas in excel to make it easy to add new categories and ideally these would be added to the correct "position" and given a unique id when you add a new one.?
## Deliverables
It is important to us that this Excel sheet works in such a way that it is easy to update, add, delete and modify the different categories and information in the excel sheet. Ideally, we would work in one sheet with adding categories and such and the "output" would be in another sheet. (but all in the same document if possible)
This to make it easy for us to have an overview of all the categories and also make it easy to update the entire thing. If you can find a better way than described here then that would also of course be very interesting to see.?
We are expecting about 500 categories with approximately 10000 subcategories (in other word, about 20 subcategories to each category in average) However, this could prove to be too few or too many as we haven't been able to dig too deep into how many categories we are talking about.?
The most important about this is:?
1: Easy to update and manage the entire list
2: Automatically updated id's for categories and subcategories.?
I am including sort of a "demo" of how I am thinking but please keep in mind that this is just added into an excel as a totally unskilled Excel person. So nothing here is having any formulas or anything, this is just to sort of illustrate what would be included or "how it would look like" when looking at the information just before we export it to a web format.?
All of this information we need to export to a website after we are completed (and this process we would most likely do 3-4 times a year) so it is important that it is also "easy" to export these data and not be clogged by the formulas.?
I am hoping everything is as clear as possible. Unfortunately I will be away 1 week from now (starting on sunday night) so any questions would have to wait until the 22nd of September. However, I am hoping for quite a lot of bids by then so we can start selecting the right programmer as soon as I am back.?
The tricky part here is that I also want all categories to be sorted alphabetically. This means that if I add a new category, then possibly all the other "unique" ids would change in order to "accommodate" this new I am adding.?
Example:?
id: 005 category name: Carpenter
Then I want to add another category, called "artists"
id: 002 category name: Artists
Then the Carpenter would no longer be id 005 but id 006, because we have added a new one above it. (if this makes sense)
I am fully open for alternatives and suggestions to this as we need to think this through very well.?
This information is going to be used in a yellow pages listing website, so it is important that we keep this in mind when making this list.
