Design of Interactive Web Site

This bid request is for the design of a new interactive web site for the purpose of enabling communication and exchange of information for members of a homeowners association. Do not bid on this project until you have read the specifications carefully, examined the accompanying Power Point presentation, and can comply with the specification requirements. Coders who do not follow directions in the specifications will be asked to withdraw their bids. The specifications describing the requirements of the project are in the attached files. Bidder is cautioned that buyer will ask the bid to be withdrawn if bidder has not followed directions in the "Coder and Buyer Requirements" section of the attached specifications. Each part of the specifications is numbered for easy reference. If you do not understand any part of the specifications, enter your bid without the price and indicate with questions which part of the specifications you need clarified. Be clear and explicit with your questions. Buyer will reply to questions promptly, most likely with a broadcast message to all bidders. Indicate your bid price only when you fully understand the specifications. The project is to be done in three stages, with the first part to be operational early in the design process. See specifications for details. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The new site is to run on any server hosting web pages and is to be accessible with all popular web browsers, including Netscape, Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and others. The recommended language for development should take advantage of any combination of C, C++, Python, PHP, and MySQL. Perl or Java should probably be avoided. Coder may decide on more suitable programming languages. The final program will reside on a server running on Linux.
