I need a directX isometric engine in which each grid box can have a height level, similar to that in Roller Coaster Tycoon. I will want to be able to put textures/images on each face of the grid boxes, as well as on the height raised sides of other boxes. The function that this will serve is for basically a game, much like Final Fantasy Tactics. Final Fantasy Tactics is probably the best model for what exactly it is I want. I want a 3d world of this sort, but at the same time most of my graphics will probably be pixel drawn sprites and the images placed on the grid boxes. The reason for it being 3dimensional is so the camera can change perspective, zoom in, move etc.
