write code in Excel that automatically downloads data from the website [[login to view URL]][1] "market pulse" (news) section. It should work in excel 2003. Attached is a spreadsheet example of how the data should look after downloading. It is an older spreadsheet that includes now obsolete code that used to work before marketwatch changed their site design. Thanks, Frank in NY ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Thursday Jul 19, 2007 4:48:43 PM: some good questions were asked Please ignore columns n - r in the spreadsheet example I provided, they were my doing and I don't need them anymore. Where there are multiple symbols in a story, please put them all in a single column separated by columns. If that's a problem then just ignore multiple symbols Please fill the spreadsheet going back to January 1 of 2007 The idea is that every time I run the macro it up dates the spreadsheet of to the most current story. I don't mind if previous stories are over-written. * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Friday Jul 20, 2007 7:23:14 AM: acouple of minor clarifications I said previously that where there were multiple symbols for a single story that I wanted them all separated "separated by columns" I meant to say "by commas" yes there are thousands of stories and I want them all going back to Jan 1 2007 (Actually if its not hard to do I'd like to go even further back, say to 12 months ago - you could put 2006 in a separate worksheet (this last addition is not something I asked for in my original request so its not a requirement) ## Platform Windows XP Pro and Excel 2003 (and 2007)
