This is a PHP/Mysql project involving some visual design work & secure payment system. It has already been posted, & if you bid on it last time, feel free to bid again here. $400 is the maximum bid we will accept, but we will look favourably on bids under this amount. Please make sure you have read and understood the brief (and had a look at the mock-up) before you bid.
See the mock-up website at [url removed, login to view]~[url removed, login to view] and click on "designers click here for more brief". We do not have an immediate deadline but we do ask that designers keep in close contact with us.
This needs to be a custom job, NOT an OS-commerce customisation.
We need to put together a sheet music website that will sell sheet music and recordings to the public. Most will be available in downloadable (PDF/MP3/MIDI) format and in hard copy (snail mail). A few will only be available to download, and a few only available in hard copy. The hard copy purchases will need to be handled via a shopping-cart type facility.
The downloads will be grouped together in small bunches. These groups of downloads are known collectively as "books". Initially there will be about 60 "books" on the site, with the number expected to double in the first year. Each "book" will contain a variety of different file types and will have a webpage devoted to it (for instance, a single "book" might contain 6 different PDF files, 8 MP3 recordings and a few MIDI files). These "book" webspages will contain the downloads and could probably come from a single template. Customers will be able to access these "book" pages by paying for access to them on a book-to-book basis (although a handful will be available for free), or by buying a "passport" that will give them access to all the books (and hence all the downloads) on the site. The "passport" is, therefore, a subscription to the site, which will last for a year. "Passport" holders will get discounts on hard copy purchases. Buying a single book in download form is like getting a mini-subscription to just one tiny area of the site (a single book page) - access could, perhaps, be for just a couple of weeks (enough time to make the download). People who purchase either a one-off download or a hard copy will get the chance, for a limited period, to purchase a discounted passport.
The "books" will be grouped together in three "libraries", each with it's own feel, look & navigation. Some books will appear in more than one library. The entire contents of the site can also be searched by keyword etc. and books can be indexed by composer, title and instrument.
The website will be:
Secure, with protection against multiple logins from a single "passport"
Easily updated (i.e. new "book" pages added by us without having to go through the designer)
Very user friendly & intuitive
Scholarly and restrained in it's visual presentation
Easy to manage - emails can be sent from the administrators to all users or groups of users bery easily, website use statistics can be viewed easily, and "passports" can be issued manually by the administrators.
Administrators must be able to add HTML and extra pages without difficulty
