We need to render a DirectShow webcam graph to a TBitmap without any kind of video rendering -- straight to memory -- using only the stock filters and methods available in DX8 and later. Here is what we need: 1. a TObject descendant with an OnImage callback method and a OnBitmap one; 2. Whenever an image is made available, the OnImage method is called. OnImage can return a boolean; if TRUE, the image will be turned into a bitmap; if FALSE, the incoming image will be ignored. 3. Whenever an incoming image has been turned into a bitmap, the OnBitmap method is called; it receives a TBitmap and the DateTime at the moment the image was first received. IMPORTANT 1. If a custom filter needs to be written (at first glance this does not seem necessary, but you need to do your research on this topic) then it must be registered in such a way that a regular account on Windows Vista with UAC turned on can access it without requiring escalation. 2. We use DSPack and Delphi 7 and above for Win32 (not .net). Your solution must be coded using DSPack and any version of Delphi of your choice starting with Delphi 7. 3. The method used must be optimized and use a minimum of resources or graph connections. Only stock filters found in a standard DX installation can be used. All filters should be chosen by enumeration and capacity validation -- no hardcoded names ! 4. More than one graph can be active at a given time; your solution must be thread-safe. If a custom filter is needed, it must be usable across multiple processes. The solution is probably already posted somewhere; I'd look first in the [login to view URL] forums. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Delphi 7 or above for Win32 DirectShow under DirectX 8 and above Windows 2000 and above; we don't care for Win98 and ME. If it works there good but don't waste time on it.
