Our Wordpress site needs to allow anonymous users to be able to submit events through Gravity Forms that gets saved as a Custom Post for the Basic Google Maps Plugin (BGMP).
Anonymous users need to be able to submit events with three fields, which are the same fields as a Placemark in BGMP:
- Event name
- Event description
- Event location
We are using Gravity Forms to do this and save the input as a custom post. We are also using the Gravity Forms Custom Post Types (GFCPT) plugin that allows us to input to these custom fields directly. However, the problem is that Placemarks have their own Category structure that is separate from global Wordpress categories. And GFCPT does not recognize this separate category structure, so we can't filter different types of Placemarks, which is critical to our site.
I think we can solve this in one three ways:
- Get the GFCPT plugin to recognize the BGMP category as a custom field (ideal)
- Get BGMP to filter for maps based on a field from the Advanced Custom Fields plugin (which I've added to the Placemarks custom post)
You will need to develop on your own platform and provide the code changes to achieve our fix. I can provide a license for Gravity Forms development purposes only.
