I run vBulletin type website communities (see [login to view URL] for example of the forum system being used). I use a 100% compatible portal system as my homepage. I have a working shoutbox for my forum area, however I am having difficulties modifying this to work for the site's homepage as well.
The shoutbox uses the same db as the vb forum system for userid's and permissions.
All this job is, is just modifying the existing shoutbox to also work on the front page. It currently IS working, but the layout is pretty bad aesthetically, it is unusable as a result.
I would also need brief instruction on how to install this on my other sites that I own. Usually, it would just be letting me know what changes to any templates/files/db were made so that I can do them on my own.
The code for the original shoutbox is available upon request if you need to see it first before deciding. However, a site (not my own) that uses this shoutbox can be found here: [login to view URL]
