DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Math/compare logic (or PID) for Siemens PLC.
4 x vessels liquid levels are monitored by 4-20mA level sensors (A1, A2,A3 & A4). Levels are to rise within vessels at approximately same rate.
Control of liquid entering vessels is by 4 x On/Off "fill" solenoid valves.
Upon "Fill Start" command, commence filling of vessels by energising solenoids S1, S2, S3 & S4. Maintain levels within nominal 2% of each other.
If A1 <2% deviation from A2, A3 or A4 - Pause S2, S3 &/or S4.
If A1 >2% deviation from A2, A3 or A4 - Pause S1.
S1 to re-open when A1 = Average of A2,A3 & A4 (or = A2, A3 or A4).
If A2 <2% deviation from A1, A3 or A4 - Pause S1, S3 or S4.
If A2 >2% deviation from A1, A3 or A4 - Pause S2.
S2 to re-open when A2 = Average of A1,A3 & A4.
If A3 <2% deviation from A1, A2 or A4 - Pause S1, S2 or S4.
If A3 >2% deviation from A1, A2 or A4 - Pause S3.
S3 to re-open when A3 = Average of A1,A2 & A4.
If A4 <2% deviation from A1, A2 or A3 - Pause S1, S2 or S3.
If A4 >2% deviation from A1, A2 or A3 - Pause S4.
S4 to re-open when A4 = Average of A1,A2 & A3.
When "Empty" command received, tank is to empty in same manner, ie: tanks are to empty maintaining 2% error by controlling 4 x On/Off "empty" solenoid valves.
