Good day Yes it is possible to make a path without the pen tool. You can use the mask function or the layer function to create a clipping mask for your bicycles. All will give you the same effect. I have been working in photoshop for the past 6 years as I am a photographer myself. I have a fair amount of experience with photoshop.
