Hi, My name is Chris Edwards and i have worked as a freelance mechanical design engineer for over 20 years. I have worked in many sectors such as automotive, motorsport, process machinery and aerospace, and i am also a member of the Institute of Engineering Designers. What can i do for your project? I will take you concept and produce a 3D CAD model using the sheet metal package on the CAD system Catia V5. The advantage of using the sheet metal package is that it allows you to develop the finished sheet metal model into a a flat sheet ensuring that the finished model is achievable, but also allowing the developed model to be exported for your manufacturers to obtain the starting pattern they will need to cut from the flat sheet. I always work to the highest standards and pride myself on the quality of my work. Hi there, Greetings I would be interested in taking up this project. I am certified SOLIDWORKS User providing CAD Design/Drafting services. Having worked in the manufacturing environment, I can understand the difficulties involved in steel fabrication and hence I can add my inputs to ease manufacturing and reduce cost. I've also helped several companies with their steel fabrication design. I need to know a little more information regarding the work: - Do you've the drawings OR measurements for the components to be modeled. I mean hands made sketches or similar information. - Do you need a basic drawing also with some assembly views and BOM. This would make it easier to order bought out parts, check the quantity of fabricated parts and ease in assembly. - Since these are steel parts, I would also supply flatten pattern DXF files if required by your manufacturer. - I would be using SOLIDWORKS to create 3d Models and required drawings. If you think I can fulfill your requirements then I would be happy to offer my services to you and we can collaborate together to build up a good business relationship.
