Custom Google Search API

I would like to setup a custom google search API on my site if possible. <[login to view URL]:1&q=Google&btnG=Search> This is a standard google search using the "Wonder Wheel" tool. I was hoping to setup this feature on my homepage, and allow people to search content on my site and find relations within my site. Example: Type in Someone's name, find all the people linked to this persons name but only on my website. I used to have thinkmaps setup but it was too slow and it was deactivated.
