I am trying to create an as-manufactured model of a solid model through 3d printing. Idea is to visualize and study how a solid model will actually be built without actually printing it. One possible way is to sweep the cross-section profile ( of material flowing out of nozzle) through the gcode path and take a union of resulting geometries. I want to use GPU-based voxel modeling for fast rendering, but I am a beginner in voxel programming and computer graphics. A basic gcode file of a typical solid model is attached.
